Valentine's Day Blues

Valentine's Day is coming, and while many people feel happy and loving, it's normal if you're feeling sad or lonely. Maybe you're single, recently broke up with someone, or miss a loved one who's not around anymore. It's okay to feel this way, and you're not alone in feeling down on Valentine's Day.

One way to feel better is by taking care of yourself. Do things that make you happy, like eating your favorite food, taking a relaxing bath, or doing something you enjoy. Reach out to friends or family for support or consider helping others by volunteering. Remember, Valentine's Day isn't just about romantic love—it's also about appreciating the love you have for yourself and the people around you.

Try looking at Valentine's Day in a different way. Instead of focusing only on romantic relationships, see it as a chance to celebrate all the different kinds of love in your life. Take time to be grateful for your friends, family, and pets. Remember, Valentine's Day is just one day, and your value isn't based on whether you're in a relationship or not. Focus on being kind to yourself and others, not just on Valentine's Day, but every day.

This Valentine’s Day I am choosing to make a wonderful memory for my child and me, by going to a museum and enjoying some freshly baked cupcakes after. This day will be great for us and fun to remember a fun experience together. Maybe we will even make this our Valentine's Day tradition!
