Merry Christmas?

Walking into a place, I could sense negative energy. Two parents were focused on their kids but not so much on each other. There was a time when their bond brought happiness and love to the families. Things changed.

Dealing with my own separation, I don't want the same for my sister. I wish for her to have a happy marriage, supporting each other and being there for their kids. They should talk about what makes them upset or happy and aim to do something nice for each other every day.

Our society prioritizes material things too much. It's not just about the gift; often, kids lose interest in new toys quickly. We feel guilty if we don't buy new toys and bad if kids don't play with them. What really makes kids happy?

As parents, we sometimes focus entirely on our kids and forget our partner. Even after the kids are finally asleep, simple tasks like taking a shower can feel tiring. How do we find time for kids, for ourselves and our partner? Kids need happy parents and a home filled with love, positivity, hugs, rules and teaching respect.

Parenting is tough, causing misunderstandings and stress between partners. Good communication can help couples stay on track. Witnessing people filled with love and joy is heartwarming.

This week, in a store before Christmas, I saw a young couple arguing, and their negative energy made me sad. I didn’t want to be around them, it was hard to witness. Holidays should be a good time but the race for the gifts can overstress people. Maybe instead of buying stuff we should focus more on the family time experience.

My goal is to help myself and others by doing something nice or saying kind words. I'm keeping a positive mindset, trying to help loved ones when they're upset. When you're feeling down, venting can help, and doing something good for someone, no matter how small, counts.
